War zones aren’t vacation playgrounds.

Hezbollah, an ally of the Palestinian group Hamas (another of Iran’s proxies), and Israeli forces have been exchanging near-daily fire across the border since the war in Gaza started on October 7. The group has said it will stop its attacks on Israel after a ceasefire is reached in Gaza.

Hezbollah said it has fired “dozens of rockets” at Israeli artillery positions in response to the Israeli military’s strikes in southern Lebanon, in one of its largest assaults since the start of the war on Gaza.

The Iran-aligned armed Lebanese group confirmed in a statement late on Friday that it launched dozens of Katyusha rockets at “enemy artillery positions” in northern Israel and the occupied Golan Heights.

We'll find out just how Arayan aligned they are soon enough. For a perfect strike Hezbollah will send a volley of 500 or so rockets to overwhelm iron dome and iron beam paving the way for cruise missiles and drones from Iran.

Yep, basically a repeat of October 7th, but on a different scale. Less dumb munitions and more smart ones.

(During the first four hours of Hamas's shock onslaught on southern Israel on October 7, some 3,000 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel, according to the IDF data. For comparison, during the entire 2014 Gaza War, which lasted 50 days, some 4,000 rockets were fired in total)

The best defence can be overwhelmed by sheer numbers as we’ve seen recently, & speaking of numbers, or sheer numbers, etc..

“The sudden shifts in the ministry’s (Hamas Health Ministry’s) reporting methods suggest it is scrambling to prevent exposure of its shoddy work. For months, U.S. media have taken for granted that the ministry’s top-line figure for casualties was reliable enough to include in daily updates on the war. Even President Biden has cited its numbers. Now we’re seeing that a third or more of the ministry’s data may be incomplete at best — and fictional at worst.”

“It is important to recognize that Hamas is deeply invested in shaping the narrative that emerges from Gaza, particularly regarding the number of casualties in the war. Moreover, this control of data extends beyond the statistics provided by the Hamas-controlled health ministry, as there is also a deliberate effort to downplay the number of terrorists who have been killed by Israel in the war, potentially numbering more than 10,000” of the 30,000-40,000 or so?
Gaza Health Ministry has now admitted that the total death count in Gaza stands at 21, 720. An estimated 13,000 of those militant deaths are from IDF estimates. It means that only 8,720 have been civilian deaths. Current combatant to civilian ratio stands at under 1:1.

Israel wants to secure the return of hostages seized by Hamas in its Oct. 7 attack that triggered the war, but says it will not stop fighting until Hamas is destroyed as a military force. It also says it still plans to carry out an assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where more than a million civilians have taken refuge.

Hamas said on Saturday it was ready to conclude a prisoners-for-hostages swap deal with Israel that would see the release of 133 hostages still believed to be held in Gaza in return for hundreds of Palestinians jailed in Israel….assuming Hamas can find them, that most are actually alive, and that Hamas’s media wing is willing to release women abducted from Israel knowing they might actually talk about what they experienced in the last six months.

The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas has rejected an Israeli ceasefire proposal, saying on Saturday it had handed to mediators in Egypt and Qatar its response to the proposal it had received last Monday.

After more than six months of war with Israel in Gaza, the negotiations remain deadlocked, with Hamas sticking to its demands that any agreement must end the war.

"We.. reaffirm our adherence to our demands and the national demands of our people; with a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation army from the entire Gaza Strip, the return of the displaced to their areas and places of residence, intensification of the entry of relief and aid, and the start of reconstruction," the Islamist faction said.

Then Iran & its proxies launched missiles and drones at and into Israel.

Only if we can find an adversary more competent than Iran.
And somebody who understands the rules of Rochambeau. The attack was in retaliation for Israel’s April 1 airstrike on Iran’s consulate in Syria, which killed two Iranian generals and five other military officers. Iran’s government has signaled that it now views the matter “concluded,” but it’s not yet clear if or how Israel will respond.

Yeah, I generally consider any "matter" concluded when I get my ass comprehensively kicked, too. . .

I was hearing quotes from Iran stating the above before the first missile/drone/etc… had gotten close to Israel but where in the air already. Kicking your opponent in the nads and then quitting Rochambeau is bad form.
