Got some of the Grandkids dropped off yesterday. Watched movies on the deck last night.

One has Basketball School while the other had Football practice today overlapping. It’s over 30°C at this point in the day so we’re just gonna chill for a bit. BBQ some smokies & burgers in a few hours, then load up the first load of brush tonight to haul to the dump for some neighbours in the morning…. With another load or two before it gets too hot tomorrow before lunchtime.

Tonight will probably be more movies on the deck or video games. Relaxing times.

(I’ve just been told the oldest one has another football practice at noon tomorrow, and then there’s a game Monday that I did know about at 3:30pm)

We will, without too much hurry, make it a mix of work & pleasure throughout the weekend.

I participated in a Pizza Boot Camp at Georgetown Pizzeria, where we introduce pizza students to the various forms of alternate pizza delivery and practical skills like pizza arbitration advocacy, pizza mediation, pizza negotiation, and pizza client counselling. Long day but lotsa fun and a free (to me) lunch!

First of three or maybe four loads. Got it loaded just before we ran out of light last night. The kids got to wear work gloves and get sweaty and play with dangerous bladed tools. Each got a $20 bill like men.

Then some chill time on the deck….

I think I’m gonna let the boys sleep in this morning (it is Sunday) and I’ll do the first dump run, get back to get them breakfast, get another load in before the oldest ones football practice at noon.

I spent yesterday making burgers for the local Fall Fair. 50 years running. Even got a short boat ride in afterwards. The baby's first boat ride. Went pretty good.
Baby is a 6 1/2 month old Alaskan Shepard. Rest of the weekend will be fixing vehicles.

Frick…you’ve no idea…or maybe you do.

This is our Son & his little one. When he was younger, the buffet places would get nervous seeing us coming back again knowing I only had to pay $0.70/year for his age (their policy):

Then below is one of the Grandkids we’ve got this weekend, and the picture is from last year when he was only 13yrs old:

This year at 14yrs old he’s 6’1” & 240lbs with an appetite and US Collages already sniffing after him.

WTF are you feeding them? I'm seeing 3 cows a week plus snacks. Sure hope they never bring friends over to eat. Might as well just put a whole cow on the BBQ.

That’s a pretty substantial size Ron, those are my stats too and I’m the biggest one in my family.
This weekend I’m watching football and otherwise doing as little as possible. The air is chilly and smoky here, good day for it. I thoroughly enjoyed the Riders-Bombers Labour Day Classic yesterday, and for once it actually *was* a classic, went into overtime and the grandson of a former Rider star made the game saving play. Very satisfying.

It's harvest. 3/4 of the barley is in the bin. Heavy rain early this AM gave me a day off.
Geez….the timing in the foot race of harvest to get a ‘day off’ on Labour Day. How close to done are you? Time wise I mean for the last 1/4 after heavy rain.

I’ve still got another one of these to get rid of this morning (been procrastinating) and another one to load….& then I’ll be down to one last load….😉

retired and having no life I barely notice holidays. you good people are pretty much it lol

I did enjoy seeing my IBL baseball team, The Barrie BayCats take the first two games of the best of 3 semi-finals vs. the Kitchener Panthers.

pretty much a comedy of errors on both sides but the luckier cats prevailed.

it a bit like the CFL in that the best you can do is be 8th last.

;?)

Canola is cut and curing the red spring is nearly ready to run. It could be two weeks It it could be a month. A couple dry, windy days would be handy which we'll no doubt have eventually.

Did you clear the whole lot?
