Woke is when you prevent kids from learning about things like this:

Because for some reason kids are too young and sensitive to learn about it.

Kids can learn that Lincoln freed the slaves (he didn't), but not that Washington and Jefferson owned 'em.
Are they still allowed to learn that the Romans and Greeks owned slaves? Or that many native tribes had slaves? The Haida in particular were much feared by other coastal tribes because of their penchant for picking up free propulsion units for the war canoes along the trip and then tossed them overboard when they wore out. Sorta like refuelling.

Is all that why the liberals want to tear down statues and rename roads just because they don't want to remember history. Ignoring history is why it often gets repeated.

Don't know. Induns in what is now the U.S. were all merciless Indian savages. Not sophisticated enough to have laws, much less legal status of individuals.

Probably not. I mean, I remember learning about slavery in not just ancient Rome and Greece, but Mesopotamia too, the Levant, Urek, etc, etc...

Or that many native tribes had slaves?

LOL - you say this as if kids are even taught about Native Americans at all?

Though in Canada we are taught about Native Canadians - or I was. In Newfoundland it was the Beothuk, here in NB, it was the Mi'kmaq and Maliseet then some of the Western tribes as it came up in Canadian history - Metis, Iroquois, Huron, etc...

Now that, that they teach.

Sure.

But there's a difference between Native Slavery and Black Slavery and the slavery of ancient history.

Care to guess what it is?

There are more slaves today than ever. Slavery in Islamic countries was stomped out by colonialism estly in the 20th century.

Less than 100 years ago.

Don't need to. In low-organization societies, like the ancient Greeks, the Nordic tribes sometimes inaccurately called "Vikings," northern Europe, and among some Native tribes, slavery was merely the lowest rung on the social ladder (and sometimes not even that). It was not hereditary and it was not limited to one "race" of people.

We are the slaves. They don't even bother to tell us. All they want is our money.

Lowest rung on the social ladder is appropriate.

Who’s land?
Roadkill is either on public or municipal land. Shores, beaches and banks of waterways, lakes and oceans are fed and Crown.

Community Gardens.

Sustenance harvesting is legal.

If shit hits the fan I'm going to Wascana park with a 9 iron fir duck and geese. You can fish Wascana Creek West of Lewvan or east of Anus Avenue (Ring Road).

Nobody will stop you from trapping or snaring the abundant hares or ground squirrels we have.

Cities have unpicked fruit trees galore.

A gopher a day keeps the casket away.
