Canada Day 150 Celebrations

Watching CBC and the coverage of Ottawa. Several observations:

• Lots of time wasted on the "indigenous" issues
• the CBC technology teams are pretty incompetent
• the lineup of singers in Ottawa is pretty lame. Of all the people available our headliner is Buffy St. Marie?

Myself I will likely spend the day relaxing and watching CBC. This evening my city Councillor gives out free burgers at a local park. Will go there. He also does some fireworks but will leave after my burger and head some place I can see the CN tower and watch the fireworks there.

No mats and heavy rains prior. They will be a mess. I am sure they will be replaced (at only a couple million $ cost) in full next week.

Having watched the ceremonies for a couple hours now I am very glad not to have taken 5 hours to drive to Ottawa, 4-5 hours to stand in line and then had to watch this.

I have enjoyed Price Chuck's speech however.

Have you been to Eastern Canada?

I have been as far as Nova Scotia but never to the Rock.

I know you weren't asking me but this sounds like something else we can share.

I have been to 9 of the 10 provinces missing only Newfoundland & Labrador (single province). I have not been to any territories.
