ModernView is a free image viewer using OpenGL. It is fully portable and does not require installation to run.
The program is pretty fast when you're viewing smaller images but perhaps a little bit slow when compared to FSView when browsing through larger images created by modern digital SLR cameras. It supports most image formats such as JPG and even works with RAW files produced by the most popular digital cameras.
Version 3.1.1 is a freeware program which does not have restrictions and it's free so it doesn't cost anything.
