If you thought 2020 couldn’t get any weirder before it came to a close, KFC had other ideas.
The fried chicken chain has creatd a video game system that has a built-in grill. Yes, you read that right. It’s not a joke, it’s the technology mashup you never knew you needed.
Cooler Master partnered with KFC to create the KFConsole, after KFC had previously teased it back in June.
“Yes it’s real,” Intel representative Mark Walton tweeted. “Yes, it’s powered by Intel. And yes, it has a chicken warmer.”
The “Chicken Chamber” is a miniature compartment that acts like a microwave to heat up chicken. Watch your controllers, though, and have some napkins handy to clean up the grease.
“Utilizing the system’s natural heat and airflow system you can now focus on your gameplay and enjoy hot, crispy chicken between rounds,” Cooler Master said.
The system also features “smooth and fluid high-frame-rate gameplay at up to 240fps for all games, with support for 240Hz output on 4k displays.”
KFC has not yet said when the KFConsole will be available for purchase.
