Jet Black, the drummer for British punk band The Stranglers, has died aged 84.

Black was the band's drummer from 1974 to 2018.

Black's death follows that of the band's keyboardist/harpsichordist Dave Greenfield who died (supposedly) of Covid in May 2020.

The Stranglers are renowned for their great 1982 hit Golden Brown, which reached No2 in the UK.

You can't beat British music.

The Who's drummer Keith Moon died in 1978.

Moon's last words were "If you don't like it, you can fuck off!"

Moon watched a 1971 British horror movie - The Abominable Dr Phibes - about a man who becomes a serial killer as he murders the medical team responsible for his wife's death.

He then told his Swedish girlfriend Annette Walter-Lax to cook him some steak and eggs. When she objected, he uttered the above words then died.

Today, The Who are still going, without Moon, and were big supporters of Brexit during the 2016 referendum.
