Lee Anderson, the MP for Ashfield, has defected to Richard Tice's right-wing Reform UK (formerly the Brexit Party) after he was suspended from the Tory Party for accusing London's Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan of handing over the capital to Islamists.

In the 1980s Anderson was a member of the Labour Party and was known for his left-wing views. He was even a member of Arthur Scargill's National Union of Mineworkers (NUM).

Today, he's a member of Reform UK, the party established by Farage and originally known as the Brexit Party. It is led by Richard Tice.
