13 July 2023. The minuscule fluctuations of seemingly empty space can be controlled
just enough to make the building blocks of a new type of computer.
/By Karmela Padavic-Callaghan/
----
Empty space is not actually empty – it is filled with tiny flickers of quantum fields.
Boosting those flickers with very weak laser light can turn the apparent nothingness
into a building block for a new kind of light-based computer.

. . . computer which is powered by the cosmic emptiness ?

31 March 2016. Black-hole computing
Might nature’s bottomless pits actually be ultra-efficient quantum computers?
That could explain why data never dies
/aeon/

What is clear, though, is that this research has revealed a previously unrecognised,
and quite fruitful, relation. ‘We have a very interesting bridge between quantum
information and black-hole physics that was not discussed before,’ Dvali says.
If he is right, the implications are conceptually staggering. Information really
does live on eternally. In that sense, we are all immortal. And the supermassive
black hole at the centre of our galaxy? It’s actually a cosmic quantum computer.
---
----
1 - Black-hole as a cosmic quantum computer ?
2 - Empty cosmic space as a cosmic quantum computer?
3 - . . . ?

Inevitable. The language of high-end physics is mathematics. I doubt anyone here knows it well enough to engage in a discussion.
This is not about high mathematics.
It's about simple logic.
We don't know the structure of a black hole or
empty outer space, but fantasies work

The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds
new discoveries, is not “Eureka!” (I found it!) but “That’s funny …”

I've always equated the maths. to God, as in 'eternal'.

2 + 2 has always equalled 4,
long before man ever came around to consider it, and long after man ceases to exist.

Irrational numbers? Imaginary numbers? That's just school stuff.

Tensor calculus, spinor calculus, non-Euclidean geometry, that's college.

Then it gets weird.
