It’s picked up speed and popularity as a phenomenon, and from the outside looking in, it’s pretty interesting.
A Columbia student, identified on social media as Johannah King-Slutzky, a paid instructor and PhD candidate studying “theories of the imagination and poetry as interpreted through a Marxian lens,” demanded “basic humanitarian aid” for her fellow protesters, claiming the school was “blocking their access to food and water.”

King-Slutzky, who describes herself as an “expert for progressive and leftist causes,” crumbled after reporters pointed out the irony of asking for food and water from the school whose rules they were breaking.
The anti-Israel, pro-Hamas protesters are getting paid to protest. Not all of them. But enough of them — enough to raise concerns about the “reality” of what we are seeing on our TV and computer screens, says the evidence and experts.

This newspaper first revealed in January that Israel-hating protesters were getting paid to show up. We detailed how a group called the Plenty Collective in Victoria, B.C. was paying out $20,000 a month to people to attend carefully stage-managed anti-Israel protests in and around that city. The “protesters” were actors, in effect, and were being given food, drink and professionally-produced signs and banners.

We also reported that it was happening in bigger cities like Montreal as well. There, the city has been divided up into precincts by paid organizers, each acting as a “captain” responsible for quickly putting together protests in select neighbourhoods. Sources there told us protesters were getting $150 per event.

Then, in the past week, other media published similar reports. The New York Post revealed that anti-Israel “fellows” at three U.S. colleges were getting paid via the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights — in some cases getting as much as C$5,000 a week in exchange for just eight hours of agitating.

That revelation was followed by the Daily Mail detailing a report authored by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP). That report showed that the main group behind the occupation of Columbia University and other campuses had received more than US$3 million a year from charities linked to Hamas.
In the 73-page report, ISGAP revealed that Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) — with chapters in Canada and the United States — had been funnelled millions via myriad non-profits like the Westchester People’s Action Coalition (WESPAC), Tides, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), its parent organization Americans for Justice in Palestine (AJP), and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP).

In their report, ISGAP said: “It is clear that individuals who previously worked for Hamas-linked charities are now a driving force behind (campus protests). The Department of Education (DoE) should carry out an immediate investigation into which universities are funding and/or supporting SJP activities and instruct those universities to cease such funding and/or support … ISGAP calls for SJP (and its affiliated organizations) to be banned and for Jewish students to be protected.”

In any scandal, that’s the rule: Follow the money. When you see who is paying, and who is benefiting, you learn plenty.

On Wednesday, this newspaper followed the money, and broke some news: Anti-Israel protesters are getting paid to protest.

After the horrors of Oct. 7 — and after the pro-Hamas crowd started showing up in big numbers, with professional-looking organizers and signage — suspicion grew. In the past, anti-Israel protests were rag-tag efforts, and few and far between.

The post-Oct. 7 protests were anything but. They were big, they were noisy, and they were causing chaos from the island of Manhattan to the island of Vancouver. They looked like the sort of rallies that professional political parties put together.
The pro-Hamas, anti-Israel types would have you believe that all of this — this coordinated, organized global blockade “to free Palestine” — was all grassroots. It was just a group of unaffiliated groups and people coming together, magically, to shut down points and facilities across the West. It was just a few folks coming together to, you know, protest.

Well, that’s impossible.

This writer has been involved in politics for a long time. Organizing a political rally in a single city takes weeks of preparation and a lot of hard work. It takes money.
A pro-Hamas activist at the heart of Canada’s anti-Israel movement, has been arrested by Vancouver police on suspicion of hate speech.

That day, at a protest on the front steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery, Charlotte Kates addressed the crowd.

“We demand a free Palestine from the river to the sea,” Kates said. “We stand with the Palestinian resistance and their heroic and brave action on October 7.”

She then led the crowd in a chant of “Long live October 7.”

Kates is the co-founder of the extremist anti-Israel group Samidoun along with her husband Khaled Barakat. Israel’s security service Shin Bet has long maintained that Barakat is a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a group considered a terrorist organization in Canada.

Samidoun has often acted a direct conduit for PFLP statements and literature. Samidoun is banned outright in Germany and is closely affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated terror organization in Canada. Israel considers Samidoun a terrorist entity, while in Canada it enjoys not-for-profit status.

April 26 was far from the first time that Kates has praised October 7 or terrorism generally in a public forum. Earlier last month, she was an invited speaker at Al Quds Day demonstrations in Toronto, where she told cheering crowds, “on October 7, we saw the potential for a Palestine liberated from Zionism by the forces of the resistance.”

In March, she was a featured speaker at a Palestine Liberation 101 event at New York’s Columbia University where she similarly framed October 7 as showing “the potential of a future for Palestine liberated from Zionism.”
Etc…

I shouldn’t find humour in this, but I do.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have set up tents at the centre of the University of Toronto’s downtown campus, calling on the institution to cut ties with Israel over the war in Gaza.
The students, who climbed a fence to set up their encampment at around 4 a.m., say they’re joining demonstrators elsewhere in Canada and the United States in demanding that their schools disclose ties to the Israeli government and divest from Israeli companies.
1714740215867.jpeg
In Canada, encampments have popped up on the campuses of McGill University in Montreal, the University of Ottawa, Western University in London, Ont., and the University of British Columbia. The latest protesters, on the U of T campus, have been told they have until 10 p.m. to leave.
1714740680869.jpeg
Meanwhile, a Quebec judge rejected a request for an injunction to stop the protest at McGill yesterday after two students said the encampments’ presence had created an environment of aggression and left them feeling unsafe.

Maybe the answer is a Two State Solution, on the various college campuses (?) in North America?

DEI? Diversity, equity, and inclusion.
DEI is most often used to describe certain "training" efforts, such as diversity training. Though DEI is best known as a form of corporate training, it also finds implementation within many types of organizations, such as within academia, schools, and hospitals.

A skeptical University of Toronto professor who secretly infiltrated the anti-Israel encampment at the school’s downtown campus says many are not actually students and should be forced to remove the barriers blocking people from the area.
For all the so-called “equity, diversity, and inclusivity” (EDI) champions workshopping these values in corporate and public boardrooms, where are your voices now — when Jewish students and faculty are physically obstructed from attending university?
Milagro Jones was having none of it – not for a second.
About a hundred people have set up an encampment on McGill campus in Montreal this weekend demanding the university divest from Israel-connected funds. They say there is no end to their demonstration in sight.

Most of us work our collective arse’s off for four to six months at a time to take a week of to go camping or on vacation, ect…without income coming in for that week…so how does this work? Who’s paying the bills while these people are camping indefinitely on college campuses? Hmmm…

A woman who spoke to Global News on-site claimed to be the encampment’s spokesperson but refused to give her name said the demonstration is calling for the university to divest from all holdings that finance the Israeli military and are “complicit in the violence.”..but only Israel?

Demonstrators present on Sunday told Global News they are committed to staying until the university commits to their demands. The encampment was set up on Saturday, with around 20 tents and multiple fences in place creating a barricade. Dozens of signs were present that read, “You are funding genocide,” “Free Gaza now” and describe the demonstration as standing in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and people in Gaza, etc…

Great when the provincial campsite is full and no reservations available we can just go and set up on the university grounds .

Glass 1/2 full, regarding your future camping plans.

Though there isn’t a “centralized command” (?) overseeing the student movement opposing Israel’s invasion of Gaza, there are connections between longstanding far-left groups and the protesters.

The National Students for Justice in Palestine, or NSJP, has been around some two decades and has more than 300 chapters across the U.S., many of which have helped organize the college encampments and building occupations.

NSJP has for months called on students to stand strong against colleges until they divest themselves of investments in entities doing business with Israel. Its social-media pages have become a scroll of encouragement to protesting students, with videos showing activity at encampments and around the world. As early as October, NSJP was promoting a “day of resistance” with demonstrations at colleges, etc…as early as October, etc…
Nine American and Israeli survivors and victims of the October 7 Massacre on Wednesday filed a lawsuit to the US District Court for the Eastern Division of Virginia, Alexandria Division againstAmerican Muslims for Palestine (AMP)and National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), alleging that they collaborated with Hamas to legitimize the Hamas attacks and provide public relations services for the terrorist organization.

“It is time that Hamas and all of its agents, like AMP and NSJP, be held responsible for their horrific actions,”the victims said in a joint statement on Wednesday. “We want to go on record to expose these groups for the terrorists they are and make certain that they are stopped from operating in the United States and other countries they infiltrate.”

The plaintiffs sought compensation from AMP and NSJP for what the lawsuit described as a coordinated effort to justify and support Gazan terrorist operations immediately after the October attack, propaganda guides, the April 15 economic blockades, and the April 19 call for campus encampments.

A day after the October 7 pogrom, NSJP issued a Day of Resistance Toolkit for anti-Israel activists and began to organize protests.
In the days following Hamas’s October 7, 2023, invasion of Israel, the national leadership of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and many of the organization’s campus chapters explicitly endorsed the actions of Hamas and their armed attacks on Israeli civilians and voiced an increasingly radical call for confronting and “dismantling” Zionism on U.S. college campuses. Some SJP chapters issued pro-Hamas messaging and/or promoted violent anti-Israel messaging channels.

One of SJP’s most prominent actions was calling for a “Day of Resistance” on October 12, during which chapters on campuses across the country would convene rallies and other actions to applaud Palestinian “resistance” to Israel.

The tone of the call was taken from a previous SJP statement that encouraged “not just slogans and rallies, but armed confrontation with oppressors” in Israel.

There was also a “Day of Resistance Toolkit” in which SJP made clear that it advocates for Hamas or other Palestinian forces to conquer all of Israel, and for the “complete liberation” of Israel and the full influx of Palestinians to Israeli land.

From the River to the Sea, I feel a burning in my Pee-Pee!?! In the nature of the two state solution, etc…

The toolkit also called for chapters to bring this resistance to the U.S. by “dismantling Zionism” on its campuses and “challenging Zionist hegemony.”
So those non-pro-Palestine students that’s aren’t comfortable on campus are just experiencing their safety differently and should seek mental health appointments.

Numerous SJP chapters released inflammatory statements in support of Palestinians seizing control of Israeli territory, including some which explicitly endorse the use of violence and attacks on civilians. “We reject the distinction between ‘civilian’ and ‘militant.’

Hmmm…”But…but won’t somebody think about the children? Well, the Palestinian ones in Gaza anyway? Not the ones taken hostage on October 7th ‘cuz ‘by any means necessary’ but the other ones in Gaza ‘cuz ‘not all Gaza’ns are Hamas but something something Palestinians!’”

We reject the distinction between ‘settler’ and ‘soldier,’” The George Washington University SJP wrote. “A settler is an aggressor, a soldier, and an occupier even if they are lounging on our occupied beaches.” The SJP chapter of CUNY Law shared, “If you support Palestine understand that necessitates supporting our right to defend ourselves and liberate our homeland by any means necessary.”

Of course Israel doesn't get to defend itself from multiple declarations of a war of extermination against them by any means necessary though. Funny that.

Never mind the left-wing extremist retards supporting right-wing extremist retards. What IS the world coming to? I've said all along that the extreme left and extreme right are just two lumps of shit on the same manure pile. And all those university retards are actively proving it.

They seem to be doing pretty good so far.
With much restraint dragging it out over seven months so far instead of finishing it in seven hours on October 8th. I know there are Genocide’ing claims against Israel but they could have taken the big boot out in a single stomp & grind on day one but didn’t…& not because they weren’t capable of doing so from what I’ve gathered.

Anyway, I started this thread to connect the dots in the media stories about the college campuses outside the Middle East and the coordinated protests that “sprang” up almost immediately in October of last year somehow. This doesn’t happen without coordinated effort and funding in a ‘follow the money’ sort’a way.

I highly suspect that in the decades to come this will be obvious in hindsight, but is perhaps a “Forest for the trees” thing at this point in history.

When I hear the opinion of someone who’s run national political campaigns, who’s not involved in these protests or without agreeing with their goals or messages, but who’s impressed with the speed & organization & funding involved in making this happen and “appear” as a grassroots thing even to the useful idiots protesting, it does make (at least for me) this shine in a different light.

240 calories a day...

On what planet is it cool to starve civilians?

In the concentration camps, it was something like 900 calories/day, creating human skeletons. Where are you getting this from just out of curiosity? This?
If this was happening, don’t you think the Hamas Propaganda Wing would be posting pictures like this and the news outlets would be running with their hair on fire with the images?

This is as much a media war as a conventional war, and this would be huge propaganda…& I haven’t seen it yet. Have you?

“Less than a can of Fava Beans per day” is the commonality sentence showing a single source…but what’s the source?

So you agree Gaza is a concentration camp? That's a step forward.

Trying to compare 2 years of starvation to 6 months is quite the stretch.

You want to see them skin and bones before you believe it?

Why isn't aid flowing into Israeli ports? What fuck is their excuse. There's no business like Shoah business?

How do you justify Israel martyring 1400 people to retaliate and take 34,000 lives?

Israeli officials obtained Hamas's battle plan for the Oct. 7 terrorist attack more than a year before it happened, documents, emails and interviews show. But Israeli military and intelligence officials dismissed the plan as aspirational, considering it too difficult for Hamas to carry out.Dec 2, 2023

I didn’t say Gaza is a concentration camp, and you only have to scroll up a single post or two to check that. Is the single source Oxfam?
I don’t want to see anyone starving, & we both know that I’m assuming. The pic I posted was men on almost 4x240calories/day also.

(You questioned comparing two years vs six months which ironically is a difference of four times)

How long can a human survive on 240 or 250 calories/day? Is it 6 months or more? Assuming an adult on 250 calories/day loses about 5lbs per week, in 6 months they’d lose about 130 lbs or so? It’s probably not a straight line correlation but it’s quick & dirty math.

(5lbs x 4.333weeks/mo x 6 months = ?)

Average adult human weight varies by continent, from about 60 kg (130 lb) in Asia and Africa to about 80 kg (180 lb) in North America, with men on average weighing more than women.
If this extreme was happening, Hamas would be out their with their cell phones & GoPro’s or production level cameras broadcasting this to the news networks globally…& I haven’t seen that, though what I’ve seen means little to nothing.
How do you justify Israel martyring 1400 people to retaliate and take 34,000 lives?
Am I justifying this, or just you claiming that I’m justifying this? In the concept of asymmetrical warfare, what was the goal of Hamas & Friends on October 7th? I’ve asked the same question of Serryah. Never really got an answer from her but that’s ok. It’s an ugly and difficult concept to wrap your head around.

Even if the Hamas Health Ministry casualty numbers are only double reality, it is a huge difference, but let’s assume the numbers thrown out by BOTH sides are accurate for the sake of debate here, are the differences in casualties on both sides relevant?

You have taken the number of deaths in Israel (or close to it) claimed on October 7th (call it day 1), and comparing it to the claimed number of deaths in Gaza according to Hamas over 7 months (call it day 200+?). That’s assuming that Israel hasn’t taken a casualty since day 1 & Hamas’s numbers are accurate, without separating the militants from civilians on either side. It sounds impressive but it is somewhat disingenuous, in the nature of the propaganda involved.

Back when Hamas’s claimed death toll in Gaza was at about 19,000 Israel’s claimed death toll of Hamas Militants was about 12,000 or so. Believe or don’t believe the numbers on either side but it’s the numbers (from the outside looking in) that were out there to compare. At that point….assuming both sides aren’t shoveling out the propaganda shit as fast as possible, the ratio of Hamas militants to civilian deaths in Gaza was greater than civilian deaths which for an urban asymmetrical warfare situation doesn’t add up the indiscriminate genocide, but it’s still a whole lot of deaths and suffering on both sides.

I doubt it. We're still arguing over what deep, dark, money-stuffed pockets scripted and carried out the American Revolution.

How far are you willing to dive into the unedited?

Download Telegram, search 18+ Gaza or Ukraine, light a doobie and grab a barf bucket just in case you have a weak stomach.

It's raw. Mind blowingly raw.

I do this…posting here, for stress relief and self education and to stay abreast of the world outside of mday to day bubble. Downloading Telegram or searching something called 18+ Gaza, etc…just doesn’t sound like my bag so I’ll pass.

I’m my youth I worked at Canada Packers (and raised children) so I’ve got a fairly strong stomach (we’d usually process about 125 head of beef/day).
So. . . you would have been OK with a nuclear attack?
No, I’m saying that, among other tactics, didn’t happen. No thermobaric bombs to remove the tunnels, no cruise missiles, etc… but instead they did what they’re doing.

See, if you start from "It's all a Great Big CONSPIRA-CEEEEE!, you gotta automatically discount everything but your Twue Twuth as part of the Great Big CONSPIRA-CEEEEE!

It's not hard to get the great mass of Americans rolling on stupid.
I find it interesting connecting the dots from the various different media sources.

NSJP is providing the “toolkits” for these useful idiots? Who & what is NSJP? Google & etc…it is interesting with the propaganda coming thick from both directions.

SJP (whatever that is) is providing the same “toolkits” using the same language? Well that’s interesting…how does that work? Google & etc…

Watch a few funny YouTubes of protesters being interviewed and realize they know less about what they’re protesting for than if they’d spent five minutes on Wikipedia, and that’s interesting…how does that work? Google & etc…

Can you imagine investing at least a week of your life, at a protest, living in a tent on the campus of a school, with the threat of staying there indefinitely unless your demands are met, without understanding what you’re actually protesting??? How does that work? Google…

How are you paying your bills while this is happening? What about the non-students not living on their parents dole or student loans? How does that work? Goggle…

…& no I’m not searching 18+ Gaza or I might end up looking up Mia Keffiyeh’s Batcave…and it’ll be less satisfying that Looking at that train named after Blackleaf’s princess.

I do this…posting here, for stress relief and self education and to stay abreast of the world outside of mday to day bubble. Downloading Telegram or searching something called 18+ Gaza, etc…just doesn’t sound like my bag so I’ll pass.
I gave the Israelis 5 months of "benefit of the doubt" when the propaganda mirrored that of the Kremlin I said "fuck this noise" and dug deep.

I get it, at our age we are 20 years post WWII. It wasnt until we were 10 that propaganda hit targeting us with a guilt trip to support Israel without question.

We see kids who are 4 generations who don't give a flying fuck about the Shoah because they haven't been guilt tripped.

Giving cartel blanche to Israel isnt an act of choice, its manipulation.
