I have learned about the prairies in the past two years, after taking two very wonderful train
trips.
I was born on the west coast, and I will be here for the rest of my life. The ocean is my prairie,
and I have to be close to the water, so I can see forever, and watch the beautiful sunsets.
So, Dex I see that the prairies do the same, I love it there, and the views from the train were great.
I would not like the winters, but we will take that train ride again next year, early September. We will fly to
edmonton, and take the train from there, then fly home from edmonton when we return.
The mountains are also wonderful, and I love having them totally surrounding me, the beauforts to the
west, and the coast mountains to the east, but I'm not crazy about being 'in' the mountains, as I
like to see a long way, in all directions.
We live in the beautiful comox valley, in courtenay, and have been on the island since l980. Born and
raised in New Westminster, then lived in Surrey for 12 years, when my children were growing up, it was
wonderful there, out in the country, and great for raising children, but it has since deteriorated
somewhat in that department, and that countryside is now wall to wall houses for miles and miles.
