I've lived in Regina, Saskatchewan, the Pearl of the Prairies, since 1992. Before that I lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, another Pearl of the Prairies, for most of my life, except for two years going to school at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, and a truly hideous year in Kingston, Ontario, that I prefer not to think about. I'm a prairie boy, I don't want to be anywhere else, I like the big sky and the huge landscape and the empty spaces and the weather extremes and the friendly people. And the great fishing in the northern lakes. I've been around a lot of North America and Europe and parts of north Africa, and for me, Saskatchewan is the sanest, most civilized place I've ever been. That's why I'm here, and why I want to be here; I was born here, I grew up here, it's home, in a way no other place could ever be.

We left Grand Forks on Aug. 24/09 after 9 years for the Megametropolis of Vernon (pop. 55000 incl. surrounding area). Overwhelming to say the least with 7 or 8 grocery stores and 5 or 6 hardware stores and last but not least a casino. Good bowling lanes too.

I have learned about the prairies in the past two years, after taking two very wonderful train
trips.
I was born on the west coast, and I will be here for the rest of my life. The ocean is my prairie,
and I have to be close to the water, so I can see forever, and watch the beautiful sunsets.

So, Dex I see that the prairies do the same, I love it there, and the views from the train were great.

I would not like the winters, but we will take that train ride again next year, early September. We will fly to
edmonton, and take the train from there, then fly home from edmonton when we return.

The mountains are also wonderful, and I love having them totally surrounding me, the beauforts to the
west, and the coast mountains to the east, but I'm not crazy about being 'in' the mountains, as I
like to see a long way, in all directions.

We live in the beautiful comox valley, in courtenay, and have been on the island since l980. Born and
raised in New Westminster, then lived in Surrey for 12 years, when my children were growing up, it was
wonderful there, out in the country, and great for raising children, but it has since deteriorated
somewhat in that department, and that countryside is now wall to wall houses for miles and miles.

Born in B.C., come from an Old B.C. Blood family and, if Canada breaks apart and the Ontarians come to B.C. to hold their dismantling Empire, will "show" the guests the way out with a boot in the rear!

I was just noticing that BC has almost as many members here as Ontario and you could fit the entire provinces population into Toronto.
Not sure what that indicates.

What the fcuk is going on. My post above claims I made the post one week ago. Well I bloody didn't. I made that post in December 2010. And also I see it is not possible to mount images to the board directly. Hmmmm. Whatever.

I did not post that one week ago. Why does the board say it was? Lies piss me off. If it is a coding error well then I guess i can't speak to that.
